Brest Business School is a world class research and teaching institution, a vibrant center of academic engagement and excellence. BBS is a school of management that serves the economic development of its region and territories by preparing multicultural leaders with a strong entrepreneurial spirit able to face the complex global challenges of the planet and to create economic and social value.  We create business knowledge through our faculty’s applied research and consulting, and disseminate it through innovative teaching methods and programs.

BBS provides management courses to some 650 students and proudly caters to the needs of the business community in terms of continuing education and internships for its undergraduate and graduate students. Brest Business School is a Member of the prestigious Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (CGE) that was created in 1973. The CGE brings together higher education and research institutions in France and abroad that train their graduates with a view towards excellence in partnership with the business world, economic players and the civil society. The “Grandes Écoles” are uniquely French institutions; set up in the early nineteenth century in parallel with the university system, they are extremely selective and provide education to the very highest standards.

Brest Business School is also a member of AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), CLADEA (Consejo Latinoamericano de Escuelas de Administracion), EAIE (European Association for International Education) and participates in the EU Erasmus + program.

OUR MISSION

BBS faculty has extensive academic and business experience and our programs train future executives to be capable of comprehending the complexity of companies and economic globalization, capable of working with and managing multicultural teams, capable of becoming rapidly operational, able of integrating the logic of both ethics, sustainable development and innovation. What’s more, the mix of ages, backgrounds, nationalities and occupations makes for dynamic discussions in class, widening of horizons and a truly cosmopolitan experience for students!

From a pedagogical perspective, we believe that the objective of any training course is to acquire both technical and behavioural knowledge in order to succeed in a professional project. To achieve this objective, our school places employability and innovation at the heart of its educational approach. Each course program is designed to meet the anticipated market expectations and corporate needs as companies are deeply involved in our school life through various commissions and steering committees. They take an active part in the design of our courses and validate their suitability to market needs and corporate expectations.

With our team of full-time Phd professors, the “Talent Development Center” (Career Pathways) department  is specifically dedicated to the reflection on our students’ professional projects, assisting, guiding and advising them about their future career and how to fulfil their professional project. Our dedicated Business Center along with our Business Incubator “BBS-Produit en Bretagne” and our corporate Relations Department therefore provide dedicated services to our Bachelor’s and Master’s  students: personal consultations and guidance to help them enter the business world successfully upon or shortly after graduation.
